These images come from our large collection of Hubbard flowers. Born in the English city of Birmingham, Cyril E.B. Hubbard went to work at an early age in the industrial factories—an environment that often gave rise to chronic asthma. Ailing and eventually homebound by his early 30s, Hubbard turned his attention to Nature, generating thousands of carefully drawn and catalogued studies with an aim to illustrate every flower that came from the ground.
