Our resident application artist was born under the California redwoods, grew up under the New York skyline, and migrated back to the Pacific with a dedication to beauty’s details and Tom Waits’ voice, a portfolio built by Vogue and pure intentions, and a deep current of desire for the natural world. She views NC as a muse and method of art and love.
A personality that has always been curious about what is beyond the fences and who is in charge, Bryce provides many roles conveying our creative passion and love for art. He can usually be found at our shows, Studio 18, or close to the Hollywood sign wishing it was 1955.
Christopher Wilcox, founder of NC, is passionate about discovery and art. He is a collector, antiquarian, taste-master and business man that believes in a lifestyle that appreciates beauty, history, and education. He hopes to influence the world in a positive direction through art and the love of art.
Desi is a very tactile person. As the design intern, she spends a lot of time working on details and simply doing things that need to get done. What she is not, however, is a coffee fetcher, and she loves the opportunity she is given at NC to work with inspiring imagery on a daily basis.
Hailing from the windy Midwest with degrees in dance and literature, Elana sought California Gold 10 years ago and has made Los Angeles her home ever since. She is thrilled to be part of the creative and constantly evolving world of NC.
A seeker of new experiences, Jim Wakefield found his way to NC purely by accident. He enjoys acting and plays keyboards for a band called Pan America. He recognizes NC for granting him a better appreciation for art and food.
NC's resident sass and hopeless romantic, Joanna journeyed from Maine's snowbanks to Paris' Left Bank to pursue her love for gastronomy and art. A native Californian, she holds a BA in Art History and Visual Arts from Bowdoin College. You can find her biking down Franklin Avenue.
The NC crew embraces that "not all who wander are lost." This delights Kaitlin who traveled from Pittsburgh, over the mountains of Colorado, and through the redrock desert of southern Utah, collecting a BA in printmaking and years of eco-architecture experience. Happiest when moving—dancing, hiking, yoga or exploring a new place—Kaitlin adores her new spot in Wild Oak.
A self-professed design nerd, Maurene finds daily inspiration working knee-deep in the many treasures tucked away in the NC offices. With a writing and editing background in book publishing, she also has an unhealthy love for her cat, good yarn, and ballet slippers.
A fiery Greek American with a mysteriously high soprano singing voice, Penelope comes from the producing side of the film and television world of New York City, Toronto and Hollywood. Theatrical both in background and in heart, she loves the animation of the NC staff and the company’s persistence in adding a little more beauty to the world.
With an MFA in experimental animation at Cal Arts, Chilean print-maker Sebastian is responsible for the hand-printed side of NC. He prints limited edition artwork, and together with Christopher, develops new projects for the ever-evolving NC.
Shadi is a web/software developer by profession and an engineer of art, music, and ideas by heart. He attempts to sculpt the digital side of NC. If you want to hold his interest, discuss the elegant universe.
