The Short-Faced Bear became extinct approximately 11,000 years ago. This individual was found in Alaska. These bears were extremely large and weight estimates have been in excess of 1300 lbs. They are considered the largest predatory mammal to have roamed the earth. This specimen, when alive, was approximately 10 feet tall.

This is a reorderable, reproduced mold casting. This skeleton comes preassembled and with a stand as shown. The mount includes the base, foot stands and vertebral support.
